Port Elizabeth - The oldest profession in the world has got residents of an affluent Nelson Mandela Bay suburb hot under the collar. He acknowledged that the economy of the metro, comprising Port Elizabeth, Despatch, and the industrial town of Uitenhage, was largely built on the back of the crucial automotive sector. However, the sector — General Motors, VW, and Ford all have plants in the metro — could no longer create jobs.
